Fundamentals Clinic and Team Trials 2012

On Sunday 5 February 2012 Bouncers will hold a clinic and trials for all players who have signed on for the 2012 season. 

The clinic will be held on Courts 2 and 3 Murray Basketball Stadium between 12 noon and 3pm. 

Players are asked to arrive at 11.45am for registration.  All registered players are invited to attend (except those involved in Top of the North and Queensland selection trials).  The aim of this clinic is for coaching staff to evaluate players for grading and team selection.

Players should come prepared for training/playing basketball and remember to bring drink bottles and a basketball if you have one.

The clinic will cover a number of fundamental basketball drills lead by experienced coaches followed by grading matches. 

Club coaches will inform parents/players of team training times for the 2012 season. 

COACHES PLEASE NOTE - All coaches are required to have a Blue Card as part of TBI Policy.  Coaches are required to complete a Coaches Information Form also as part of TBI Policy.  Please bring the completed form to the Fundamentals Clinic along with a photocopy of your Blue Card so that the form can be collected by our club committee and lodged with TBI. 

Coaches Information Form and Blue Card Application Form can be downloaded from the downloads area in Bouncers News.  If you do not have a Blue Card please complete this form and lodge appropriately or bring the form and applicable identification to the fundamentals day for signing by the Club President.

2012 Club Sign on

The 2012 Bouncers sign was held on Saturday 28 January 2012 at Murray Basketball Stadium. 

If you have missed the sign on please contact either Mr Andrew Camp A/Junior Registrar or Ms Holly Kyle Senior Registrar for sign-on details and/or available teams.  (Contact details can be found on the committee home page).

Juniors

U8 (born 2005-2007)             $90

U10 (born 2003 - 2004)         $105

U12 (born 2001 - 2002)         $130

U14 (born 1999 - 2000)         $130

U16 (born 1997 - 1998)         $130

Seniors:

U18 (born 1995 - 1996)         $135

U23 (born 1990 - 1994)         $150

Championship Division            $150

A Reserve                           $150

B Grade                              $150

C Grade                              $150

Please note a large percentage of these fees goes to Townsville Basketball and not Bouncers.  Increase in fees are as a result of TBI fee increases.

Committee seeking a Junior Registrar

Our club is urgently seeking a person to immediately fill the role of Junior Registrar on the Club's Committee for the 2012 season.  All help and support will be provided for this position.  Please contact the Club Secretary for information.

Bouncers Club Working Bee

All members are asked to please assist our club if you can spare some times for a working bee at the Charles Street Courts on Sunday 12 February 2012 from 8am - 10am.  The working bee will be to clean our courts in preparation for training.

I would encourge everyone to log on to the site and create a profile - even if you do not purchase goods.  This will enable H2H and Bouncers to distribute emails directly to you advising you of merchandising updates and other Bouncers news.

Please note: our Club still has limited playing shorts and training singlet stock.  If you require these items you should first check with President - Adam Ainsworth for available sizes.  This stock should be cleared first.
